Essential Web 07: Nigel on the big screen

Yesterday Nigel spoke at the Essential Web 2007 conference in London located at the IMAX Theatre.

Nigel participated in the session entitled: Making the Web a More Manageable Experience.

Essential Web 07 is a one-day conference showcasing and celebrating Europe’s latest web innovations. It is organised by Library House.

Tune in to Nigel’s talk at a recent information retrieval conference

Nigel recently spoke at the British Computer Society Information Retrieval Specialist Group conference in London. He spoke about Trexy and creating search trails on the web.

One of the questions he raised was: “So how can we apply a Darwinian survival of the fittest to the information so the important information stays and the unimportant information falls away?”

Techies Come Out On The Thames.

This month's Flag and Bell was held aboard the Tattershall Ship Bar overlooking the London Eye.

Thankfully the sun remained out for us making it a perfect day to be on the Thames.

It was good to see so many new faces. The group has really grown and diversified.
