New Result Page - All Trails

The latest release of Trexy includes major changes to the result pages.

Let's take a search for "paris hilton", for example. We are now providing answers to the following questions:

  • Who has searched for paris hilton?
  • What did people find for paris hilton?
  • What images did people find for paris hilton?
  • Follow people who made search trails for paris hilton:
  • People who searched for paris hilton also searched for:
  • What search engines did people use to search for paris hilton?
We hope you like the new result page layout. What other questions would you like Trexy to answer? As always your feedback is welcome? Send feedback to: tech@trexy.com.

Goats, Mice and More at Ad:Tech 2007

Amidst goats, mice, neanderthals and interviews, we've just had two busy days at Ad:Tech London held at Olympia.

Nigel's talk about Trexy.com went well and the cycle of search game proved to be as popular as ever. We managed to give away over 500 Trexy soft toy goats!

We were also there to promote our sister site Turbo10.com and met a lot of existing and potential partners at the show.

Release 1,000 - Milestone

The Trexy releases just keep coming - we just hit 1,000.

But there's still more to come. We are currently working on improving our results pages so we share more collective intelligence based on the trails. We want more 'wisdom of crowds' and less 'madness of the mob' ;-)

Stay tuned for a new style of result page - coming soon!

I recently presented about how Trexy is powered by Perl at the YAPC::EU Conference in Vienna. Here are the slides:

Thanks to those who were there for the feedback and encouragement.

Flag still flying despite the Tube strike

Not even a strike on London's Underground network can stop the monthly Flag & Bell.

Despite the transport chaos, it was great to see so many people at last night's event. In the quaint and historical surroundings of the George Inn, the techie crowd enjoyed networking and a fun trivia quiz.

Keeping up with current affairs, the trivia included a question about the tube, "what is the only station that doesn't have any of the letters of the word 'mackerel' in it?" The answer, which proved to be quite challenging, was "St. John's Wood".

We hope everyone enjoyed the evening and got home without too much trouble.

Look forward to seeing you at October's "Oktoberfest" Flag & Bell, which will generously be sponsored by BondMarvel.
